1) The Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation has transposed the following EU Regulations:
- Regulation (EC) No 300/2008 on common rules in the field of civil aviation security and repealing Regulation (EC) No 2320/2002;
- Commission Regulation (EC) No 272/2009 of 2 April 2009 supplementing the common basic standards on civil aviation security laid down in the Annex to Regulation (EC) No 300/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council;
- Regulation (EC) No 1254/2009 of 18 December 2009 setting criteria to allow Member States to derogate from the common basic standards on civil aviation security and to adopt alternative security measures;
- Regulation (EU) No 2015/1998 of 5 November 2015 laying down detailed measures for the implementation of the common basic standards on aviation security.
Note: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/920 of 19 May 2025 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1998 as regards certain detailed measures for the implementation of the common basic standards on aviation security has not yet been transposed. - Commission Decision C(2015) 8005.
2) The above-mentioned EU Regulations have been transposed into the Regulation on Civil Aviation Security Standards (“Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, No. 91/24).
3) The Regulation on Civil Aviation Security Standards (“Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, No. 91/24) is available in local languages on the official website of the BHDCA:

Annex V of the above-mentioned Regulation contains a list of inapplicable provisions of the EU Regulations listed in point 1.
Additionally, the text of the Regulation refers to attachments that are considered confidential and can be distributed upon request.
In accordance with paragraph 3.1.1.3 of Annex IV of the Regulation on Civil Aviation Security Standards and its Attachment II, for aircraft entering the critical part of the Security Restricted Area (SRA), after the disembarkation of passengers, baggage, and cargo, an aircraft security search is applied. (Security check is not applicable at airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.)
